Security system the problem?
Does the factory security system on the S5 have a cut off in it. Meaning if it was malfunctioning or was being stolen what would it cut out, the starter, the injectors, anything?

Starter kill only for kill devices.
It is considered a passive device, though (even though you have to lock the car) as far as insurance companies are concerned.
