Woe...
Now here's something you don't see every day.
Was this a dealer option?? (it's not in my vert).
Hmmm... mabey I should move my door subs back here and go full range in the doors with an aftermarket amp (bling bling).

DAMN!!!!
Another "mysterious" option not in the brochures.
This looks like an ez conversion on the factory system. I'll just disconnect the underdash speakers and wire them into some door full ranges. Then fabricate a box to fit between the carpet & the empty cargo bins holes for the OEM subs.
yeah yeah... I'll eventually do a $4500 Profile Bass Engine Pro car audio network (sorry kenwood E's+/system Q EX).

I've got these on my 90 vert. I have the factory stereo setup. It's some sort of Pioneer made system. Those little speaker are some sort of sub-woofer deal. Kinda of like a little shaker to add some bass. They are ok, not great when it comes to sound.
Hm, ive got extra speakers and **** in my 87 Turbo. It had he "pioneer" stereo as well. I wonder if the speakers in my doors are little subs. I dont know, except the one of the previous owners did a good job of ******* the stereo wires up.
Yeah, I've got full range speakers in my doors and the usual headrest speakers. The ones behind the seats are an attempt to give the sound system some bass.
It does help. Crank up the bass and the volume and it's just like eating a bran muffin and drinking coffee. WHEE.

I have those in my '91 Vert too and am going to explore the possibility of doing a little Dremel work and maybe shoe horning something larger in there.
jmseven, got any pictures of what/how you did with that SAS bass tube? I'm just looking for ideas to upgrade sound without having to hack the interior to pieces and add new rattles.

I just realized (from your pic) that you DON'T need to remove the whole spare tire cover to get to the spare tire
- cool
