pics - RAREST VERT on ebay - mica blue stickshift

and the heavens opened, and birds were singing, and someone is finally selling the RAREST convertible. How rare you ask? We'll I've seen about 15 mica blue verts, and they were ALL automatic.

If you could find a 1992/91 vert, that would probably be the rarest 2nd gen - even rarer than the black GTU-S

This is THE BEST color on the convertible if you ask me

That mica vert is not a '91. Why do they not say what year it is in the description?

I have a white '91 convertible, 5spd, 62000 miles (the rarest 2nd gen?). My father bought the car brand new in 1991, when I was only 7. I turned 16, and it became my car, so it is a one family owned car. I am absolutely in love RX7s now. I currently own four (yes, 4) of them (3 turbos, plus the vert), and I am only 17!

That is such a beautiful car...

There are two immaculate 'verts running around town...one black, one red, both gorgeous. I've never seen a blue one in person, and apparently I'm missing out.

Agent D- You ever cruise on Gratiot on a Fri/Sat night?
I love the cars there..... I love racing!

Ya, I admit... I street race.... Hey- you live once... I dont let it wind out to ridiculous speeds like some people do though- by 4rth gear you should know if you are beat or not. If you dont you are too dumb to be racing anyways.

Yo,

Blah blah blah, rarest this, rarest that. The GTUs is the rarest! We're talking an RX-7 /model/ here, not some measly paint code. Same with the CYM R1. It's just paint, not a model.

No one has yet to come up with hard numbers on how many GTUs models were made in 1989. 1000? 1100? 900? We know there were 100 made in 1990.

GTUs = Rarest!

*grin*

I want to kick myself in the face for not being able to buy that black '89 GTUs.

Someday...I shall find one equally as striking.

Let's review

Yes that's not a 91

I'm saying a 91 mica blue vert with stickshift IS the rarest RX-7 as far as model, year, & paint codes go.

Mica blue was rare to start with, but on the last year covertible it's practically unheard of.

This is the first mica blue 5 speed I've seen PERIOD. All others were the heavier automatics/airbag model.

So if you find one, buy it

Seems like there were 3 paint codes found on the GTU-S, but there were more GTU-S sold with those paint codes than 5 speed mica blue convertibles.

The reason I like mica blue is it's just dark enough to accent the lines (whereas white hides the lines) and light enough to give the vert the "openess" look.

Yummy.

Gosh, and before I looked at those pictures, I was thinking about selling my vert when it gets out of the shop (water pump went out)...now, you got me all sentimental! Lol, I guess it won't hurt me to keep her!
God Bless!!
