AROSpeed is making springs for our cars. Here's the FIRST GO at getting details on them. I'll try again to get which model 2nd gen they used as their test cars, what performance/show applications their designed for, etc.. Pics below:


Question
Are these RX-7 lowering springs designed for performance like Racing Beat's springs or "style only" like Intrax's 1.5" lowering springs. Also there are some serious weight differences between a "heavy" 1991 RX-7 Convertible, "lightweigth" 1989 GTU-S, and all the models inbetween. Which year & model RX-7 were these designed for?

This Springs were designed for all 86-92 Not Convertible Model , But I sold so many alredy that some of our customers that bought them for convertible told me that they lower a little bit more than the non convertible Models . I sold more than 20 sets alredy and I havent had one single Complaint with the Fitment or Quality of them .

I would be wary of arospeed...all their stuff is knockoff crap. That spring has plenty of progressive coils... only 3 linear coils!!!

Go with the Tanabe GF210, linear bias spring! hehe

Personally I have tried just about every spring out there, and my favorite so far have been the RB springs and the B&G Suspension springs.

For those that haven't heard of B&G, here is a link to them B&G

B&G is building a donated Mazda 6 for the NASA Touring Series and we are building their cage and exhaust for the car If any of you go to SEMA this year, that car will be in their booth. Should be fun.

I was planning on getting the RB springs, but B&G is looking like another possibility. How would you compare them to RB springs in ride height, quality, etc? How much exactly did they lower the car?

I love the RB springs, the only complaint is I think they make my rear end sit a little lower than my front end.

Personally I prefer the B&G springs as the ride height is a bit lower than the RB. The ride is near identicle as both springs are progressive and have similar coil count. The drop on the B&G is 1.5" and the RB drop is the 1" The B&G springs have QS14001, ISO9001, and ISO9002 ratings as well. On top of that, they are less $$$ Both of them have lifetime warranties. I believe that the RB springs are the same as eibach's. I have seen where the RB springs do sit a tad bit lower in the rear compared to others. Maybe that is why they sell those front strut lowering caps?
