Pics of my new black 88 TII with very low km's.

this site should work http://photos.yahoo.com/bc/toughguy6...tos.yahoo.com/

Maybe some one can put them on this page so everyone doesnt have to click the link. lol hopefully it does but if some one could host some pics that would be great. Email: ry_guyrx7@hotmail.com

I bought this car on saturday for $5500 canadian. It has not quite 53,000 km's on it. Im the 3rd owner and i bought it of over a lady who's husband bought it for her. She was around 45 years old and her husband bought it off of a 73 year old man who kept it in his garage. O ya im the 3rd owner of it.

When i was there they had 6 calls for the car and they said to me that they have 20 calls before i came. I was the first to show up there with cash though.

Only problems with the car is that i need a new clutch, it sure likes to flood i need to get the injectors cleaned, and that it has 2 small dents on the body but the paint isnt chipped. Looks almost as it was kicked in. Also all the electical works except the power intena. Also the exhaust tips are rusted but the whole system is good.

Questions and comments would be great.

I am very jealous man! We both live in B.C. and we both wear the N jippers. I couldn't find no turbo 2 but you did! Anyways, how far is Duncan from Vancouver?

Also, I am going to buy an 87 GX. It is in excellent condition (no dents and rust). Anything I should look out for?

BTW, if your car won't be seeing any ultra high performance mods, you can get a clutch kit from Canadian Tires for like under 200 bucks. They are very good and exceed the quality of OEM.

I have 5(!) times as many...

No spoiler? I've seen lots of 87 TIIs without one, but no 88's.

Be careful about that flooding, might be low compression!

I'd do the ATF trick before you do much driving. The engine prob. has a bunch of carbon in it because I bet the other owners drove it nice and slow. That is what killed my first rx7 (90 GTU).

I will get a compression test done soon. I dunno about doing the atf treatment any more. I heard now that it might not be soo good. I read Ryde _Or_Die's thread a while back asking about doing it. Low compression and flooding are related?? i dont remember hearing this.. hmm can anyone back this guy up?

yea $3000 sounds pretty close to it.

I was dissapointed when i saw the car and it had no spoiler!!! i thought it would of had one for sure. It was made in 07/87 it says in the door and the owner manual/vin number shows a 88 too.

Low compression motors flood all the time.

Edit-7/87, eh? Mine was built in 8/88 and its still an 88. Your car does have the 88 rims and steering wheel on it. Mazda factories are weird.

according to the turbo registry of registered members u have one of the newest 88's and mine is tied for the oldest with 3 other people with the same build date.

You can just find an 89+ spoiler and put on it. I like them better anyway.

holly crap thats a nice car. What does the exhaust sound like? Is it ricy or not? I like the way your tips look and was thinking about some like that before I wrecked the GTU. I wouldn;t mind having some on the TII. What kind are they?

From experience with my car if you can't hear the exhaust your cats might be clogged.

Obviously you're not paying retail for your parts? Did you get a Dynapac? My N/A has 74K km's and is on it's 3rd clutch

Paint looks good and the body straight, good find!
