Pics of my engine installation (56k warning)
Finally got the car running again, after immense amounts of slacking on my part. Here are some pics for you guys:

Engine assembled and ready to go in the car.

Same thing. Different angle.

Me and the engine.
I'll have a few more pics in a few minutes. Just thought I would post some photors for everyone.

The RX-7 on jackstands with no engine. A sad sad sight.

Some stuff in the hatch. Looks like I got a flywheel, alternator, some intercooler piping, a strut tower brace, some plug wires, and a turbo/exhaust manifold.

This is what it looks like when part of an apex seal gets lodged in a rotor. Thank God it got stuck and didn't go out my exhaust.

The damage to the rotor housing. Thanks apex seal, you are O' so kind.

A nice vanity shot of my T04S.

Another shot of my turbo and exhaust manifold.
Some earlier shots. Including the damage.
Thankfully the install did go smooth for the most part. The starter doesn't have power, but I was able to get the car running. Everything seems to be fine, but the timing needs to be set correctly. Other than that, a pretty sucessful rebuild considering this is my first turbo-rotary rebuild.

The motor was already streetported.
And yes, I plan on breaking her in quite nicely for 2,000 miles. Break-in period is the single most boring time you can have while driving an RX-7. It is also the period of time when you get the most people trying to race you!

I was wondering if anyone was going to notice the wheel barrel.

Thanks for the compliments, I'll try to keep posting eye candy in the future.
Man, this was one nasty chipped rotor! Isn't that a bit unusual, the way that busted out like that at the corner? I've seen the seal chunked in the corners like that, but the rotor face so deeply scalloped? Is that typical? Anyone?
