eeeww you looked! hey pervs i have question. mabye aaroncake would know. Why does it take 3 pumps of the clutch pedal to start my 91 vert? if i press it down SLOWLY at just the right spot( like an inch from the floor) it will start on the first time. Anyone out there have this problem to. I also found this Rotary Shop out here in Chatsworth called Grounded. Anyone ever hear about them? I need a good ROTOR MECHANIC because im stupid and cant do a rebuild myself yet.

Probably need a new clutch slave cylinder, especially if you are losing fluid. If you aren't losing fluid, it may be the clutch master that needs to be replaced. You can also rebuild either of these, but depending on how worn out end etched by dirt tracks they are on the inside, it may or may not last for long.

You are lucky I was just reviewing random threads, perv.

There is a switch in the back of the clutch pedal, might need to replace it (or eliminate it and jump the terminal). It's a push type switch that is ativated as you press the clutch pedal. The car will start even if your clutch pump was shot, so that's not a option to trooubleshoot on this one

First, your title is very very lame, and almost doesn't want to make me even open it, well alone read it. I am sure that most of the other people that could help you feel the same way. It is much better to put as much info as you can fit in the title if you actually want a response.

anyway, I am assuming that when you say the car doesn't start, that it is not cranking, and not that it is stuck in gear.

If that is the case, (it just doesn't crank) then you need to replace or adjust the starter interlock clutch switch. The not cranking will have nothing to do with the master cyl or any of the other parts of the system.

Lets not forget about the magnetic switch on the starter. My wire was only connected by on strand. Sometime it would start and sometimes not. I thought for sure starter brushes problem, so I purchased a new starter and this on did not start. I noticed that there was a broken wire (which I broke further by replacing the starter) comimg off this black small box attached to the hot lead of the starter. Looked it up in the book and it had to be connected, so I did an I never have had a problem sence.

Not sure if that is your problem but I though I would add my two cents.

clutch position wouldn't effect the starting if it was the starter soleniode

Yep.

And the switch is at the top of the clutch pedal. Little black box with a white pin sticking thru it pointing towards a tab on the clutch pedal. I think

I like the idea of finding an RX chick in this forum to date. With my luck she would be in Japan or Florida, anyway she would be far away from my home town.

i tried to install the Ignited push button starter, but i fucked something up and my car started without pushing in the clutch. needless to say it would grind the starter when i try to shift it out of nuetral. anyone have the exact map on how to install this thing properly.

Thats because your switch is bypassed.

You grind the starter? How is that possible? I would only see that happening is if the teeth on the flywheel were not matched to the teeth on the starter.
