pics of intake setup
here are the pics of the cold air intake. the filter and adapter for the maf were bought off ebay. the pipe is 3" internal diameter. i used two couplers, about 7" of pipe and a 90degree angle piece cut in half to give less angle. regained power below 4000 and gained a whole lot above 4000. very very worth it.

yeah the filter will probably get bitched quick, but for the 18 dollars i paid, if i get 1 summer i will be happy, a stock replacement filter is that expensive, atleast this one is reusable

Stainless steel covers that slip over the existing hoses to make it look like you have braided stainless steel lines. You can tell by how loose it is, and by the hidden worm gear clamps on the rad instead of -AN fittings.

yeah it is the shitty fake hose, i didn't put any other one on from the kit so i basically wasted money, cause the fake sleeve doesn't go on well at all. but i don't know if it is rice since they are made for american cars, but whatever, call me rice if u want to hate, whatever!

no chicken wire here. oddly enough, the dress up kit costs probably as much as a real ss hose does. i did the hose a long time ago, but never upgraded it, i agree it does look cheap and i think it takes away from the rest of my engine bay, but only have proibably a month left of driving rexxie so no point this fall, it isn't really a priority.
yeah, mustangs and camaroes can be made super gay, but i think since they are domestic we should call them something other than rice, maybe potatoe or something. leave the rice qualification for the hondas and pulsars

I bought that stupid kit they sell with all the different sizes but the rad hose is the only one i used since i have wire looms and silicone hoses both in blue. i tried to give the rest away but no one wanted them! imagine that!! HAHAHAHAHa.
6 feet for 54 bux, where? the cheapest store locally is 35 each for straight ones that don't bend to fit worth a crap. i was thinking of getting the blue goodyear high temp hoses

yeah than you gotta convert to cdn and pay shipping and duty and all that crap and than wait for it come to boot. i prefer to buy locally as much as possible

I think it's great to make improvements to our cars, but I think your set-up should bring concerns not only about getting dirty quick, but about water too. When you drive though a puddle or even on the highway, I think that set-up will allow the engine to suck water in...bad scene.

i don't drive it in the rain or though puddles, i am very careful. also plan to add that AEM water stopper valve thing. no worries, i thought of all those thing before i did it. as for getting dirty, i already addressed that issue.

Nice setup, I think I'm gonna do something like that (but put the filter up a little higher so you can see it through the grill if possible), if not then I'm gonna relocate the charcoal canister and all that good stuff and put the filter there and cut a hole in the hood. Either way I have to cut something...it is kinda funny that you took the pics in the rain though (I know you don't drive in the rain, but it's just funny to think about it).

I have heard of the AEM valve, but if you aren't driving it in the rain, then it is probably not necessary. You'll be able to see if your filter is getting too dirty long before the valve will be needed.
