haha,
This dude is STILL trying to sell his custom 91 Turbo II.
I almost bought it 4 months ago before finding a better deal.
The main reason it's expensive is the rarer color (mica blue), rarer interior color (blue), year (1991), new motor, and mods.
Anyway - if you have some money to shell out and want the ultament / rarer TII (like I did) - this is the one you'd want. For the condition, mods, and being rare - $8600 isn't a bad price.

It's very hard to find a nice 89-91 TII. The price isn't nuts, but if I were interested I'd belooking to pay around 6500 if the car is mint and the motor is new.

with a 2 + 2 and turbo engine, you've gotta wonder how good of an engine swap was done. The TurboII didn't come with a 2+2 option if my memory serves me, which means this must've been an originally NA car. Wonder if they upgraded anything else, or just put the hood over a turbo engine and then decided to sell it.

Well, it was ethier a NA, that had a motor swap, or a TII that had a storage bin swap. Ill stick the VIN in the lounge and see if we cant get a carfax on it. BTW I have no idea if TII's came in 2+2, my statement was made assuming they didnt.

My T2 came with 2+2 seating. You could get it from the dealer or from a wrecked car. It wasn't made that way though, if you look at the sticker inside the door it says 2 front seats, 0 rear. Probably the original owner had them put in. I've since removed them and put in bins (now reduced to one useable bin and one car battery)

Actually $8500 would buy you a crash 'n' bash FD or one without a motor. So a prestine TII with good ugprades and emaculent condition for that price isn't bad.
You'd be hard pressed to find one for $6500 that's emaculent and prestine. Add mods and unless the guy died or was exported you won't find one below $7500.
