Pics of borla cat-back??

I'm in the market for the fc borla cat-back system, but would like to know what type of a setup it is; and what does it look like installed.

I've heard that it is a single muffler (chambered) that has one 2 1/2 inlet and two 2 1/2 outlets that lead to intercooled tips??

Is that correct?

that was actually where I'm going to get it from.

I'm running the racing beat header and presilencer and all of the cat backs I have used until now have been rediculously loud, but they have also been straight through mufflers. Hopefully the chambered mufflers will creat enough back-pressure to put my pre-silencer to work as well.

If that cat-back doesn't shut it up some, I'm going to fire bomb the car and buy a beetle.

well not really, but this 7 is my n/a daily driver, I have my turbo when I want to be loud and fast.

the borla i have on my cougar is very quiet.. i being young in stupid went through my phase of loud exhaust and it got boring quick. i put a borla on my v6 cougar with a intake and it was very quiet .. i almost couldnt hear it running.. and i would finally hear it about 3500 rpms and up.. then i gutted my pre cats ( kinda like headers) and now i have a nice rumble.. kinda sounds like a nicely tuned mustang gt at idle. but i love my borla and from now on im getting borla for all my cars.. the quality is top notch and fit the car pefectly . almost better than stock. the only thing i had to do was extend the outlet pipe after the muffler 3 inches to clear the body kit i installed

i have the borla catback with a racing beat header and presilencer. it is NOT quiet. the mufflers ARE straight through. the header makes it quite a bit louder than it would be with the manifold. i know a guy who has the original exhaust manifold with a cat replacement pipe and presilencer and borla exhaust and his car is quite a bit quieter than mine. i do like the sound, however i wish it was quieter. i have thought about replacing the racing beat presilencer with a low profile muffler like borla's xr1 to quiet it down, but that is a little spendy.

I wonder if they make a chambered version of that cat-back because i have pm'd the owner of the nopistons store, and he said it was a chambered muffler.

At this point if it is not chambered I don't want it. I would even consider putting a stock cat back on the damn thing, if i didn't know that it would rust off in 6 months.

I am amazed at how damn loud n/a's are. and they flow so much air!!!

My turbo has a dp presilencer, and a corksport cat back (straight out the back, with barely a muffler) and it's still not near as loud as my n/a is.

I think im just gonna stick a potato in my pipes.

RX7.com sells a greddy cat-back system that they claim is quiet. Here's the link: http://www.rx7.com/cgi-local/2catalo...at=11&part=130 I know nothing about it or how it sounds though. The Apex N1 single exhaust has an optional silincer, but I dont think it will lower it enough for you. If you really want it quiet, you should get rid of the header and use the stock manifold and RB downpipe. Its gonna be hard to find something that will make an NA with a header quiet.
