bump from the dead!! if you're running a lowered car on coilovers, how are you guys fixing the camber and preventing the rubbing?i have some 17x10 in the rear and getting a 275/40 tire for it, but afraid that i'll have to do some massive pulling or wb overfenders for it, any suggestions?? and the fronts are 17x9 and i'll be running a 255 tire on it, would i need flares for the fronts?

edit! 17x9+22 F and 17x10+18 rear.

Fronts you can get away with camber. If you want to run 0 camber then you will need flares for the front. The rears will definitely need a roll/pull or camber. Overfenders can be used as well.

i have camber plates in the front, so hopefully i can maybe get a small wb fender and have it sit flush. the rears i'm hearing that i'll have a bit of a problem fitting? i was thinking of a pull and camber adjusters but most are telling me they'll be pretty ugly.... personally i like the heavy pulled look, haha

here's a pretty sick pull, not sure how he did it, but i damn sure wouldn't want to try it with a roller.

IIRC it wasn't a pull. There was some cutting, bending, and sheet metal used to fill in the gaps.

Modify for 275 in rear?

Chose right offset! +40, but with a little camber.

-------------------

Modify for 255 in front-

Roll lip under, coilovers, max camber and +30 offset.

Crap.. should have read the beginning of the thread again.

Sounds like somone got RPF1s.

It will probably need a bit of fender rolling/lip cutting but it should work fine.

I have 234 45R 17 on the rear on racing rims. They will not fit on the front as they rub the springs. They look about right for my 88 vert and the speedo is correct too, measured by my GPS

only bad thing about that is unless someone really knew what they were doing and did it with mostly metal and welding that bodywork will only last a few years before it starts cracking, doing that in glass or glassing in over fenders will not last.

looks crazy though

you guys are making me want to put 275s on my 17x10s....

I'm definitely putting 245s up front on 17x8 +35s, we'll see how that goes. I'm hating my 225s

i want goofy dragster drag radial tires on my car...

i have 17x8.5 volks 40 mm offset

i assume i would need a 20 mm offset in my wheel to clear the arches eh? am i way off?

it sounds like i need a 17x9 w/ a 35-38mm offset eh?
