Picking up my first FC Sunday!

Am very excited. Have owned a FB (which wife made me sell after marriage), and currently own a FD, and on Sunday I will be picking up my first FC.

Yeah, it will need a bit of work done to it. I've already got a list of friends who have asked if they can drive it down to Indy this April for the Revolution event, lol.

They'll have to fight my wife for it, she thinks she'll be cruising with the top down (on the car that is ...)

Yep, 91 Vert. High mileage, some fixing up on the body (side-swiped), but it has a clean title, etc...

Why is it always so hard to wait? Oh well, saturday I'll be at the NAIAS looking at the 4-door rotary vehicle.

Hopefully there should be a good turnout of 7 owners there.

Yeah, I'll have to do that after I get her inside the garage and wipe the two inches of snow that we got last night off her.

My wife is grinning from ear-to-ear though. I think she's thinking about cruising in it this summer.

yeah you'll love driving the convertible. It's got that "connected to the road" and "massage your butt" feel. VERY VERY fun to drive.

just add intake & exhaust upgrades and your in the "WOOOHOOO" power range (that's inbetween wow this is pretty fast and HOLLY SHYTE THIS IS FAST).

Some iceing on the cake then??

always vaughnc with his library of pics for new owners

I hope this is your wifes car because going from an FD to a 91 vert you'll probably think somethings wrong w/ it.

Can you say TII swap

It'll be my wife's car this summer

That and my bro-in-law wants to drive it down to Indy for the Revolution event just to check everything out. I also have a guy at work who is hoping I pick up an FB so he can take that.

BUY YOUR OWN DAMN 7! lol

Well, you know what they say about the first year of marriage. She was giving it to me a lot, my brain went into neutral and somehow she convinced me the two-seat FB wasn't practical.

Now that we've been married a few years my brain went back into gear, I got some more backbone and I've bought a FD and FC within the last 5 months.

BTW, the side-swipe isn't as bad as I thought. But, let the fun begin. It started yesterday when I drove it off the car-hauler no problem. Then it sat outside all night in the bitter cold and snow and I can't get it started today. And check our Michigan forecast Mark, it won't be warm all week

Did you let the car get up to temp before you shut it off? FC's have a weird habbit of flooding if you shut them off cold. You should let it run atleast untill the idle drops to 1k.

BTW-in an S5 flooring the gas pedal while cranking the car will shut off the fuel injectors.

I hate this Michigan winter crap. On the brite side only 2.5 months left. I don't need warm weather to work on my car, 30,000 BTU's say I can work on my car when ever I want.

Well, I probably didn't let it get up to temp. Just started it, drove it off the car hauler and shut it off.

I have a propane heater in the garage, it's just that there isn't any insulation in it yet. brrrr....

OK, someone needs to re-write the unflooding procedure and increase the font size where it says "car will smoke heavily"

Lol, I had to run out of my garage and call my neighbors so they didn't think it was on fire... But, it started immediately when I tried.

Took the vert out for it's first drive yesterday. Back tires are bald and I've got two inches of snow (michigan) in my driveway.

Damn, that was fun!

Any FC owners know why all the warning lights would be on in the car? I read somewhere that happened if you broke an alternator belt. I just replaced mine (it was bad), but now I can't get them to go off.
