i just bought a 6port that was pickeld. and im wondering is it normal for the coolant left in it be a brownish color? it was really nasty. can i install the motor and flush the system with it still in there. to make sure its out? any advice will be helpful thanx.

I "lost" my emissions....
eehh... cooland left in an engine will rust it out and ruin the engine. thats prolly why its brownish. but its worth a shot. i say install it and try it out. but most likely its shot. hope you didnt pay too much

Brown coolant = rust.
Someone didn't "pickel" this engine properly. All fluids should have been drained.
At the very least, pull the water pump and inspect for damage. Any serious rust in the water pump area will give you a good indication of the rest of the enigne (though the irons are more resistant to rust then the water pump is).
