if it is the headlight switch the dash illumination also won't work when it is being problematic. i usually flip the switch on and off numerous times to see if it works intermittently and usually does.

S5 all 4 brake lights come on.

i suppose it may not be a headlight switch then. for the connector i don't recall, i do know there is one that looks similar that is unused in the tail light area.

As far as I can see there is nothing else to connect it to around that whole area. I am going to check the switch tomorrow. If all else fails, ill just make a separate switch to turn on the tails. I had to do that on my vert.

Yep. I am. So far I haven't noticed anything wrong with running the stock ecu. But I haven't gone past 3k rpms yet.

its funny how people still down play a bridge port for the street. my 6 port bridge awesome, and I beat the **** out of it daily. but just doing the bridge is half the battle you also need a good engine management, ITB intake on a ida manifold, and the cream on top a higher rear end gear 4.30 and up. mash all these parts up and you have a great sounding high reving quick little car that can still burn 87 octane and red line on the hottest day with no problem.

just my .02 cents

the people that downplay the bridge are the same ones that understand that most engines won't take advantage of the 9k+RPMs a proper bridge is capable of, that it sucks *** for fuel mileage, that it sounds mean but the actual differences in power aren't a huge difference, and that the 6 port irons are a waste to bridge.

the bridge is about the most meager difference of everything you actually mentioned.

it's kind of sad how many irons i see destroyed due to crap port jobs, when most people would never even notice the difference over a stock port with the rest of the upgrades doing the actual work.

Kicked it up ( slowly) to 3.5k rpms today. Feels nice and still no issue. But part of me still feels like my vert is faster and picks up better. Maybe its just because I'm more used to my vert, but I'm not sure. Also, just about break 300miles on the rebuild. So I know she's gona feel different with each drive until everything settles in.

Just for my own personal bookkeeping on this car,

1)sent out the Transmission to get rebuilt should have it back sometime this week and installed in two weeks.
2) re-did the cooling system with a GodSpeed radiator, GMB waterpump, new thermostat, and new silicon hoses for the upper and lower radiator.
3) Tein stylish kit springs with new KYBS all around.
4) sent out the old 15'' rims to get powered coated gun metal grey. Also slapping on a set of Falken tires 205/60/15
5) new brake master cylinder
6) Undercoated the fender wells
7) Brand new headlight switch straight from the dealer. ( that was expensive but hopefully worth it)
8) New brake hoses all around

That is pretty much it for now until I get more cash. I was thinking if painting the brake calipers too but I think I might run out of supplies here. I think I am missing some other things that I am going to be doing in the next up and coming weeks.
