Pic request for you FC guys...

Hey fellas,

Don't show my face in this section much since I'm an FB guy, but I wondered if one of you would be able to help me out with some info? I'm swapping an FC front mount oil cooler into my '85 GS and I need to see a picture of the stock configuration for the FC oil cooler lines. I'm interested in seeing how they are supported. I know from looking at the FC parts fiche diagrams that there is some kind of bracket that ties them both together, but I don't fully understand how it works. Can someone with a stock car take a picture of that bracket for me and post it?

I'm trying to keep everything as factory as possible, so I want to use the bracket setup to support the FC oil cooler lines on my FB if possible. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Jamie

Here is what I am hoping to get a picture of. I don't understand what the bracket does, and how it supports the two oil lines. I need to see a picture of it actually on the car so I can tell if it will work on my FB or not.

Thanks,
Jamie

That is the hose bracket.not pertinent to an install.(holds the line to the frame..you can run without the bracket)
The oil cooler is held to the car by L shaped brackets.
Really you can make them up easily.

i replaced my lines a few months ago and i dont think that bracket bolts to the car just holds the 2 lines together. i got ss lines so it no longer fits, i still have if you want it. just pay the shipping

That's what I was thinking, is that the bracket just seems to hold them together. So it really seems kind of useless. Can someone post a picture of the oil lines on their FC so I can see how it works and where it goes? I may still use it on my FB if it works out.

A pic would still be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Jamie

I think Rusty FC is correct on the bracket.
