You going to do the whole thing or just the dash? Door panels would be the PITA, they don't fit. Everything else should swap over though.

Assuming the S5 door panels are coming from a car with the same kind of windows as the S4 car (i.e., power vs. manual crank), wouldn't the door panels be a direct swap? S5 manual window coupes had a speaker grille in them while the S4 cars did not, but I think everything should still fit. Of course the pillar trim won't be a direct swap because of the slots for the S5 mouse belts.

it would be just the dash and door panels, everything else prolly will be gutted, i was thinking of not running door panels to. but they came from a manual window s5 and my car is a manual window s4

The door panels were a direct drop in when I put S5 into my 86. This is including switching from manual to power windows.

After doing this swap my suggestion would be dyeing the S4 dash. The S5 dash plastic is ridiculously fragile and will likely break in numerous places. If you keep your S4 dash harness you also have to add a ground when you swap to the S5 dash as the S4 harness grounds to the dash in one spot while the S5 does not.

I dyed my arm rest from blue to black and it looks better than the actual black dash and I have yet to see any fading after several months.

If you go with the dye the worst that happens is your dash turns out poorly and you buy a S5 black dash anyways. Can't really go wrong with that deal.
