Cool Phase II fixing all the broken stuff

Well for those that are not following my escapades, I am restoring a vert (bought with no engine/trans) for my daughter. Dumped a ton of cash into it (new rotor housings, RB cat back, Lighten Flywheel, etc)

Got the car running (thanks again Wayne for your Eleictrical savy) and it runs real well.

So here is the punch list

- Donor Trans is shot - 3rd and 5th syncro's iffy (thank god I can double clutch!)

- Get AC working - needs evaporator at least

- PS has a leak and a wiring problem

- High Beams inoprerative

- Cruse Inoperative

- RF wheel bearing

- Needs a few trim panels replaced as donors can be found.

So it looks as if I will spend a few hundred more on this ride b4 I can even get it to paint.

Sounds like a real piece of **** to me, more problems than you can shake a stick at. Just curious but is it really worth it? I mean if you dumped a ton of money into it, you coulda used that ton of money to buy a functional seven..

All I can say is good luck, and when its done it'll be a pretty sweet accomplishment.

Exactly... I've learned more about cars because I've HAD to work on mine than I would of ever learned with a different car.

Any time hyour dealing with a 15+ year old car sans motor/ trans your going to run into the unexpected.

Most of what I have in it can go into any other S5 NA. I have th tell you the thrill of driving a rx-7 drop top makes it all worth it. Now I feel like parking this one and getting going on my turbo vert.
