Question ? for People with Apex'i Power Intake

This question is aimed for people who use the Apex'i air filter. My air filter is starting to get dirty and I was not sure what Apex'i recommends to use to keep it clean. I know what to use to keep a K&N filter clean but the Apex'i is a "maintenance-free dry-type air filter". Therefore, what do you guys with the Apex'i filter use to clean it? I tried to read the papers that came in the box with it but it is all in Japanese and there website does not list the instructions.

Good question Geoman. I was starting to wonder myself about that. I know mine is probably due to be cleaned as well.

Haven't cleaned mine yet but it is alson getting to that point, and will be needing a good cleaning after pine pollen season finishes in NC. Here is what my approach will be, remove cone filter from engine bay, then carefully vacuum using a car vac with one of its brush attachments, then use canned air to blow any remaining stuff off the filter.

Anyone else got any better ideas?

didn't you make a thread about this yesterday?

You are supposed to BUMP your thread to the top...not make a new thread about the same thing.

Yea, I had one yesterday but YOU filled it up with some BS, so I put a better title on it and geared it for people who have the intake and not people who think they know about somthing they don't.

get yourself an air compressor with the nozzle fitting that just blows air and put it on the inside of the filter and blow all the dirt and stuff out. thats how we cleaned the filters and this place i used to work at. peace -mike
