Question Pedal electrical connector (wtf is it?)???

I was under my dash yesterday and noticed that there is an electrical connector on the gas pedal rod. I was drawn to it because 2 of the wires are disconnected. This isn't the TPS is it? (on my buick the TPS is under the hood) The connector has 4 wires in total yellow, orange, and the 2 broken ones which are both black with a yellow stripe. So what is it, because the car seems to run OK, although I've noticed the gas milage isn't too good.

The TPS is attached to the throttle body...Dunno what you're looking at off the bat.
