PD replacement, no ylw connector to test
Have been very pleased to see all the help with PD replacements. Was amazed to see how many others had leaking PDs also.
Bought a replacement PD from dealer, $145, but haven't installed it yet. May opt for 89+ fuel rail replacement with integrated PD.
Regardless, I'll want to pressurize the system with the plenum removed (per Haynes fuel injector test) but can't find the yellow connector to activate the fuel pump. I'm thinking that Mazda got smart after 86 (my 86) and added this. Saw one on a 90'.
All I've got are green connectors on right/passenger side (3 pin) and a pair on the left/drvr side (2pin) and multipin.
Am I not looking hard enough...are they really there on an 86 (non-turbo). Any suggestions on how to pressurize the system if not available?
Thanks,
Walt

yea they are there on the 86 look over by the 2 green plugs on the passenger side, the yellow one has a black plastic cover on it, so you will have to look inside to see it because of the black boot

Wow...what a great response time! Couldn't wait ...just checked. Exactly where you said they'd be, inside a black boot. Thanks for spending the time to respond!
AWESOME....
Thanks.
