PD Pics good, Bad?

was looking at my PDs on my cars fuel rails and the primary fuel rail has a hole in the very center, is this normal...check them out, also is it correct that S4 banjo bolts will replace the PDs?

There is no way you can tell by looking at them from the "outside".&nbsp I have actually managed to cut one of the failed ones open to show how they fail, but I haven't gotten around to taking pics yet.

okay but is it normal for the hole to be there on the primary fuel rail...so I guess the only way is to start the car and feel for the pulses...

No, not normal.&nbsp There is supposed to be a screw in there.&nbsp It does tend to fall out.&nbsp People will scream to get it changed when you don't need to screw, cause it's bad - this is not the case.

The banjo bolt off the outlet side of the primary fuel rail is the same size as the inlet, but the inlet hose barb is too narrow to use the bolt with. The threads actually bottom in the rail when doing this. If you use some kind of spacer or a different barb you can make it work.

I had the extra brass washers from the rebuild kit, so I used one on either side of a proper sized washer in between the head of the banjo bolt and the barb. It's not perfect but will suffice untill such a time as I can replace it and eliminate the extra seals.
