pcv and charcoal canister q.

I bought my car with all the emissions stuff removed. Im not happy with all the gas fumes i am getting under the hood due to the venting of the tank. Just a few questions about redoing these systems.
1. Do i need to run a charcoal canister or can i take the vent line and run it to the nipple on the center iron and then run a line from my oil filler neck to a pcv valve and then on to a nipple on the uim?
2. Would running the fuel vent line the the center iron nipple and then the line off the filler neck to a catch can accomplish the same thing?
3. When i got my car the oil filler neck tube and the center iron nipple were vented to atm. Is this ok?
4. If i didnt want to deal with a charcoal canister could i just stick a pcv valve on it and connect the other side to the uim?

Thanks

if you can, replicate the stock set-up, charcoal canister and all. This doesnt add much complexity, nor does it affect performance of the car in any way besides how it smells, so theres really no reason to do otherwise.

The stock setup can be found in the FSM under emissions control, evaporative emissions.
Here it is for turbo:

You need the charcoal canister. The tank vent connects to the small nipple. To the large nipple, a T connects. One leg of the T leads to a filtered air source before the turbo (or before the throttle body on NA cars) and the other leg of the T leads to the lower nipple on the center iron.

The line from the oil filler neck needs to connect to a vacuum source via a PCV valve.
