ok I have a 87GX and a 87GXL.

GX = 4 bolt
GXL = 5 bolt

I want to put the mags I bought for my gx on my gxl (they really nice). They want $420 for the conversion plates. What I need is the correct measurements.

Like whats the offset etc needed for me to get these made? (5x114.3mm - 4x114.3mm or 4x120mm) I really dont want to order the wrong ones and pay all that money for nothing. They make them all custom - so no returns.

I agree. Besides, for that kind of money, you could pull the front and rear suspension off a 5-lug RX-7 at the salvage yard, and upgrade to the better brakes and LSD at the same time.

Anyway, to answer your question:
Pitch - 114.3mm (4.5")
Offset - 40mm (1.57")

My car is GXL it has LSD and the better bakes - my mags are 4 bolt... Im downgrading my lug pattern. I really like my mags.

So its 114.3mm pitch and 40mm offset for both 5 and 4 bolt patterns...

Thats definately a They put 5 lugs on there for a reason and anything less would just be unsafe.

Oh, I get it.

I still don't think that spacers are a good idea, though.

I agree with Evil Aviator, spacers are not good. They're quite a step away from the original (and excellent) suspension design. This is more than just some bolts holding on your nice rims, this is a critical strength and placement area. Putting all of a 2nd gen's considerable cornering forces and stresses onto some OVERPRICED custom plates is one thing, and putting the actual wheel farther out from the car which changes the location, amount, and force of suspension travel is another. Look for all kinds of alignment issues, as well as accelerated wear of components.
What you do with your car's looks vs it's performance is your call - but personally I wouldn't drive a spacer'd car too hard.

No adapters!

I tried the adapters when I was younger and more STUPID than I am now. I AM LUCKY TO BE ALIVE!! (I'll skip the war stories)
Don't do it!
Either buy wheels that fit, or convert your hubs.
There is a lot of info on that at this site.
