Passenger side window switch problems

Hey guys. I cleaned off the leads on both driver and passenger window switches. The drivers side works fine, the pass side does not. I tested the window motor by hotleading a drill battery to it and it worked. For some reason, there's no power going to the switch.

I know that the switches are linked together but could the passenger side be toasted?

Anything else I can try?

A good idea would to be remove the passenger door panel and inspect the wiring behind it. Sometimes harnesses can get cut or shaffed on the sharp metal inside the door, also check where it enters the cabin of the vehicle, sometimes the constant motion of the door opening and closing can pinch wires in that location. Hook up a voltmeter and see if you are getting 12 volts on one of the wires at the switch connector..

Not sure how it is on the RX-7, but most cars the window switches run through the master switch, so if the master switch has a problem it can create problems with all the other door switches. If it's ONLY the right side of the vehicle that's having the problem, I'd first start by removing the panel like mentioned above and inspect the wiring..

It's most likely the "child safety" circuit in the driver's side switch - i.e. the rocker switch that turns off the passenger side window switch.

yeah I have a spare switch if you need one.

But on S4 cars it is very easy to rebuild one.
