Pass Window help

my passenger side window wont roll down on my 88 GXL

im wondering: is there a separate fuse for each window? i dont think its the switches because neather of them will roll the window down and they seem fine (clean and solid)

im just HOPING its not the motor

I have this same problem, cleaned both switches, you can actually hear a clicking noise as if its getting power, I pretty much figured it's gotta be the motor. I'm still looking into mine, most likely taking out the motor tomorrow to check it out closer. I'll let you know what I find. Good luck otherwise.

My passenger side got stuck down once. I checked the switches, fuses, wires, connectors, everything. I took the friggin door apart and tried to "help" it up, nothing worked. i figured the motor finally just gave out, since both of them are a little slow to move. so after doing literally everything i could possibly think of, i finally took it somewhere to plop down i think like 200 bux for a new motor. to show the guy that it doesnt work, we plugged the switch back in (cause the door panel was still off) and he pulled the switch and the window went right up.

I was pissed, but at the same time i saved lots of money. Window has worked fine ever since.

Hey guys, simple check! SEARCH---, seriously! But in the meantime, run a jumper wire from the battery positive, and one grounded, hope you know what that is, and put direct juice to the motor. Not through the switch, just the motor. If it goes up, switch the wires, etc, and should go down. If nothing, then motor. If it does, then either switch, or wiring.

Hope it helps. I learned that from some wise folks here!
