Parts List For FD Rims On FC?

I'm toying with the idea of using FD rims on an FC, but I know spacers and such are neccessary. I'm not sure what brands of anything to use, whats of best quality, and what exact things i'll need, so if someone could please help make me a price list that would be great. So lets say I started out with FD rims with some decent tires that didn't need replacing on them, what other parts and how much would they be to buy? Include any average labor costs for balancing wheels and all by whoever will do it. Please be as specific as possible, thanks.

um balanced wheels are balanced wheels regardless of what car they are on. but you should get them checked if you use the tires you but em with. i dont see how that could cost much more than $30 the idea of using washers as spacers has crossed my mind a few times but i think you need so much ofset that the stock studs wont hold the lug nuts anymore. someone out there sells a machined spacer with itns own studs that bolt over the old ones but i cant remember who

H&R 15-25mm spacers, or the Corksport ones. I would only use hubcentric ones, and not use the crappy $5 ones from autozone, and extend the stock studs. That is not a safe way of doing it.

also, there is another thread on the bottom of this first page started by ReTed, with a good link to some cheaper spacers.

They are a rip-off!
Last time I checked, they wanted like $5.50 PER stud, which is like $27.50 per set of 5 for one wheel!

I just put up a link for the ARP studs that work on our cars - these are probably the same ones SpeedSource resells?

yeah get the H&R or corks, and do it right.

I have heard of people running FD wheels without spacers as the tire size is the primary problem, if you wanted to run a 225 tire instead of say a 245, the clearance would be much better, either way, better to run the spacers.

Might want to get the wheels aligned after completion as well, who knows what adding the spacers did for alignment.

You be able to do down to a 205 wide tire before it gets unsafe, but you'll still need a spacer.

I've heard of guys getting away with a 10mm spacer, but anything thinner is suspect.

I am sure you could run a 195 tire on that. I plan to run a 225 or 215 on a 9 inch wide rim.
