Parts left over...

Last week, I took off my throttle body and manifold. When I put it back together, I had parts left over.
Photo#1 White plastic cap

Photo#2 Black plastic gasket
https://www.rx7club.com/attachment.p...7&d=1283042228
Can anybody please identify what they are and where they go so I can put them back.

The 2nd thing is the spacer that goes between the primary fuel rail and the engine block. It is very important, you'll likely experience leaks from the primary fuel injectors without it in place.

You know, after I put everything back together and moved the car, I found that black bracket in the driveway. I don't remember ever seeing it come loose. But based on the size and shape, I kinda suspected it was for the primary fuel rail . I guess it was originally created for a purpose. As a non-mechanical newbie, this is bad news and a big deal.

Well, I got the primary fuel rail spacer/gasket installed. Having to take off the throttle body and upper manifold again, didn't take as long the second time.

But I still can't place that white plastic cap. I've seen it before...but where?

If item #1 was under the air box, it probably came off of something either random, or not needed. The first thing I thought of though was a nipple for the throttle body or similar but it doesn't look like it has a opening to allow air to flow through. You should be fine.

Where?

the throttle adjustment? Not the throttle cable...Not the throttle position sensor...not the idle screw. I'm confused where it belongs. I looked in the FSM and the Haynes manual but didn't see it. I Google Imaged it, but didn't see it.

Could I get a photo of it installed? Or maybe a link to a photo?

John, got your PM, I have NO idea at all I looked on my car and can't see anything like that, but it does look like it belongs on a shaft on the TB. I couldn't even find it in the FSM or the Fishe.

Looks like the little plastic cap that goes on the TPS adjust screw, with one leg broken off. It's there to keep others from messing with it easily. Mine broke off and I tossed it.

It could be the plastic cap off of the thermo vacuum switch (white plastic sensor on the back of the throttle body that has vacuum lines going to it.) That's what it looks like to me. They are notorious for breaking off.
