so just a little update. i did get around to it last week. did as misterstyx had mentioned, peeled the felt from the underside, repaired the crumbling and cracked areas and dropped a layer of fg and resin on the entire underside for strength. it's definitely stronger than it ever was. but that's about as far as i got with it. still need to trim the excess and reglue the felt. but decided to address more pressing matters. like getting the car running and off the stands again.

yea i was surprised as well. peeled right off. didn't tear or stretch really at all. it turned out pretty good actually. was able to shape the broken corners and hinge mounting with the fg and some corrogated cardboard quite nicely. my only issue was that the resin seeped through and pooled to the top side in the areas that were completely missing (the pictures will explain better). this can easily be rectified by laying new felt over the top side. however was really hoping to just leave the factory cloth but oh well

 

I'd do a leather top ..heh..
Put a big WHIP and handcuffs logo or a Rotor in it!

I am brainstorming about the Cover again.I would like to copy/trace it in MDF or whatever and make a formed sub box.
