painting black plastic stripe

hey guys, i have a white N/A so that black plastic stripe that goes all the way around the car really stands out, personally i dont like it. has anyone painted theirs to match the body color?

Yes. And it came stock that way in the 2G cars.

how would i do this? just roll into an autobody shop and say "you there, paint my stripe"? thanks

This S4 came from the factory with the side stripes painted to match, but you get the overall idea of what it would look like. I think painting them makes them looks alot better.
