I've got S5 trim that is going on my car before it gets painted. Should I paint it blue like the rest of the car or should I keep it black? I kinda like the contrast. If I keep the trim black then the mirrors are gonna be black, as well. No spoiler, for now.

 

keep em black...i've seen ones when they were painted the body colour and man! do they look ugly...if u don't want the black then do some bodywork and fill in the ridge/gap and THEN paint your car...i know i'm getting off topic but anyways KEEP 'EM BLACK!

Can you get your trim chromed? or get chrome trim for a s4 or a s5, if not, will painting them high glossy silver/stainless steel give the same effect and not look shady..?

 

I think the S4 trim looks better black, and the S5 better painted. So paint 'em blue!!!!

If they can be returned to new condition to match the quality of the new paint, black is fine. If they are rough and cannot be restored, paint em.

all s5 trim was painted body color, buddy. maybe you think all s5's are ugly? idk..

paint the moldings the body color, be sexy.

 

he means all S4 moldings PAINTED look like ***....he was not refering to the S5 moldings.

 

I think the best "mod" I did to my TII as soon as I got it, was to paint the side trim body color. It really takes the car out of the 80's... lol.

Look at my sig and then do whatever the heck YOU think looks best.

What do you mean? My moldings are shot and I'm going to be gettting it painted soon.
