hey guys i just got a quick question and wanted to know you guy's opinion.

so i got into a little accident with my '87 and i am going to get it fixed soon. its just a lil work with the radiator support and what not so it wasn't that bad of an accident. the thing is... the paint is getting old and i wanted to repaint it since i was getting the body work done on it already.

so..

the question is... what color should i repaint it?

it was originally white so i was thinking about repainting it crystal white, but i was also thinking about repainting it to a dark color like a black or gunmetal type color.

so what do you guys think? repaint it white? or go with a dark color like black or gunmetal? suggestions?


and if you guys could... post some pics of your cars with which ever color you guys suggest.

I'm doing the same thing in a month or so... mine was originally white as well. I am teetering between black and white... On one hand, I'd like to keep it the factory color code.. but black FC's are so sexy. White ones can be sexy too.. I love a white S5...

In the end, its up to you... post a pic of your car the way it is right now.

what is that on top of your hood scoop? you should expect to get pulled over with a car that looks like that

 

Don't change the color unless you do the doorjams and under the hood as well. I've been through this.

what does the K8 mean in Tornado Silver Metallic - K8? and what does it look like?

well mine is a white s4 so it has the black trim. but if i repaint it white i was thinking about having them paint match the trim. i am kind of leaning towards repainting it white so they dont have to repaint the engine bay and the door jams.. but i did get an ok price for the paint for the exterior, engine bay and door jams plus the body work of taking out the dents and straightening out the radiator support. for a black paint job the whole thing was going to cost me about 2300 from one of the places i was getting an estimate from. but i am sure it might be cheaper with white paint. i am still going to go to another shop and get an estimate from there and then decide where to get the job done.

i understand that in the end its really up to me, but a little more advice and a little more suggestions would be nice. and some pics of your fc's with the color that you suggest would help a lot too. thanks.

 

...the cops should have arrested you for painting your car like that and wtf is that thing on the scoop? If thats not functional ( I dont see how it could be) then knock it off with a baseball bat please

 

What does it look like? Imagine a tornado..... Yeah... its something like that.

 

As should be obvious, I'm a fan of blue (5A = Sapphire Blue Metallic). However, everytime I see a thread like this I get confused. I just don't understand how someone could ask this question. What do you find the prettiest? Ok, now paint it that color. If you need someone to help choose for you, I don't think you need to be paying to repaint your car because you won't appreciate the color.
