How much does paint to paint a full rx7 cost? I got a hook up on a paint booth and hes going to show me how to paint a car but i want to make sure Ive got enough money to buy the paint and primer. Also where do painters buy their paint.

You can pay anything you want for paint-$30 per gallon or $1000+ per gallon.

You should use whatever your buddy with the paint booth is used to shooting. Everything will go much better that way.

Well the guy who is teaching me owned a body repair place many years ago but still has his entire shop and agreed to teach me stuff. I think he will be a decent teacher. I just got to find time to get over there between work, school, and all my other lil projects.

He should be able to give you a good idea then on how many gallons it will probably take. Then just google for automotive paint to start getting ideas on how much it will cost.

Make sure all your prep work is good, and make sure you clean the car with wash and grease remover before spraying anything.
