paint job?

I was just wanting some advice on what color I should paint my 87 rx7.
Right now it has 18" Super Silver rims and a gold metallic(factory color?) paint job and one of the fenders were hit so now its primer color. I want to repaint it, but im not exactly sure which color to, Heres what ive come up with...
Burgundy with lots of metallic flakes?(interior is burgundy)...Black?(wont you see every little nick and scratch tho?) White?(i havent been completely impressed with white rx7's)
any other colors that may look good? I'd like to keep the cost to about $700?
Also, my rx7 has the trim(from rear bumper all the way around that is black) and was wondering if i should remove that and have them fill it in and paint over, or should i just have them repaint the black trim?
thanks

I painted mine bright yellow with a pearly-blue pinstripe. I also painted the trim on mine and it looks good to me. Mine paintjob was around $500 in paint and clearcoat, and i payed my uncle $200 for spraying it for me.

Well either black or a maroon color. Basically just no gold/tan/brown color and make sure it matches the interior.

Mine's baby blue with white highlights but I have the grey interior. With maroon I'd go black with lots of clear.

Titanium silver....sounds interesting since my rims are super silver...any pics of possibly an rx7 with titanium silver paint, or maybe another car somewhat similar?
btw..any more advice on the black trim?
Leave it and paint it, or fill it in?

Just paint the black trim. I've heard bad results about removing it and filling it in, such as the bondo cracking.

As for Maaco, I've heard they they do a decent job. Not sure where I'll get my car painted, but if I got it done there I'd get one of the better packages to be sure its quality.

With a burgundy interior, how about black, blue, red, or white?

Stick with the OEM paint codes as well, - but you can pull from any generation. Here's the 2nd gen paint codes.

Color Codes

K8 Tornado Silver Metallic
PZ Brilliant Black
RH Sunrise Red
UC Crystal White
WU Dover White
WY Noble White

2H Claret Metallic
3A Royal Maroon Metallic
5A Sapphire Blue Metallic
NP True Red

89-92
5N Brave Blue MC
5D Harbor Blue Metallic
3G Shadow Silver Metallic
1F Winning Silver Metallic
WY Noble White
UC Crystal White
SQ Blaze Red
PZ Brilliant Black

86 - Dover White, Pure Red, Arctic Silver (M), Tornado Silver (M), Satin Gold (M), Royal Maroon (M), Saphire Blue (M)

86 1/2 - same as above, but Brilliant Black was added for the Turbo model only

87 - Noble White, Sunrise Red, Arctic Silver (M), Tornado Silver (M), Satin Gold (M), Royal Maroon (M), Saphire Blue (M), Brilliant Black (Turbo only)

88 - Noble White, Crystal White (10th AE only), Sunrise Red, Arctic Silver (M), Tornado Silver (M), Satin Gold (M), Claret (MC), Saphire Blue (M), Brilliant Black
