Save up 900 bucks, it takes time and is worth it. Find a guy who can paint it---find some connections--and have him do it for a case of beer or 2. that's what i'm doing next month and i will have a better paint job than any can of spraypaint or maaco coudl give me.

If its that ugly...just sand it down and basically prep it for paint yourself. Spray it with some primer(white usually looks the best) Then save your money for a real paint job and the car will pretty much be all ready to go.

ok.....alot of us have been in your shoes...... if you can, save your money for a good paint job and stick it out until then..... but if you are really antsy, spray painting a car can look descent! my friend used high temp engine paint (primer, paint and clear coat!!) its expensive, but looks good! he did 2 coats of primer, wet sanding in between coats, then did 3 coats of paint, again, wet sanding in between coats, then applied 2 coats of clear coat! then he wet sanded the car and buffed it out..... you cant tell it was spray paint!! it cost him $250 all together....(paint, tape, sandpaper, ect....)... so, again, stick it out if you can....... but good luck either way!

well, my friend got an all scratched up car when he bought it.... he knew a few things about paints, so he spray painted his own primer... the dupli color crap..... then he went to a shop and got a paint job.... it was cheaper than just leting them paint everything....
go ask a shop and see if a pre-primed car would be cheaper.... then just do it yourself

i'm sure if u planned to spray your own car u know to sand it, wet sand it, etc.... so thats my advice to u
