Can l just remove all the power steering parts or do l need to replace the rack with one from a non p.s? car. If not how hard will it be to steer? As far as the smog pump goes do l just remove it and cap off where the hoses go? Im going to remove the a.c. too so dose that mean that l will just use 1 V-belt to run crank,wp,and alt? Im trying to clear the clutter under the hood is their anything else l can get rid of? Thanks for all the help,TEDMAN

The removed Power steering doesn't take long to get used to but it gives your arms a workout if your trying to parallel park or something. Remove the whole big airbox assembly and you will have a lot of room. While your at it get a better air filter.

Thanks for the info. How come my smog pump says DO NOT REMOVE NO OILING should l put it back on? Thanks

if the smog pump is the one that goes into the cat then it says that because your cats will get fried.

do not remove the smog pump

if you fry your cat you can kiss your engine good-bye

get a staight pipe first a muffler shop can make one 2.5" removable
or a racing beat presilencer and downpipe

buy a Air Control and Check Valve Cover Plate to remove the accv
wire open your ports 5 & 6 (racing beat)
removing the sleeves is even better

remove the air pump
rest
zoom

if you remove the ps change the streering rack to manual
i have both manual and ***. ps that is taped out
the manual is a lot easier to drive
