oversiezing my injectors

i would like to oversize my injectors on a n/a 88 gxl and i wanted to know if anyone had any recommendation on what size, brand, and ware to get them? also if i should convert from s4 to s5 fuel rail? thanx

Yep... NO and NO.

Bigger injectors are not needed until you are exceeding around 225 HP. In fact adding bigger injectors on a otherwise stock ported motor will actually result in worse power and worse gas mileage.

You get more power by leaning the motor out on a stock port non turbo motor than you get by adding fuel.

but if you really feel the need to upgade, and you feel like you need the fuel you can always go with turbo injectors. if you go with them from the same year they are a drop in and will take your from 460cc to 550cc.

We need a sticky to tell them that these cars run pretty rich already and do not need bigger injectors. Now if want to, get them cleaned and fixed up. There only like 15+ years old.

If you had a bridge port or a port to that kind of degree plus mods then you should think about upgrading the secondaries to 550cc. I think you should get your injectors cleaned then lean the engine so that you dont run as rich which would allow you to run more efficiently just like what Icemark had stated.
