overheating problem

ok i wanted to get some opinon on the taurus e fan swap i know alot of people dont like it but i had a question as to the problem it creates with churning the stock clutch fan pushes if iam correct and the directional blades on the taurus fan pull. ive set it up and have had a lot of trouble with it getting hot on me and for the power its sucking its not really worth it unless theres something else i can do i.e. remove condesor and bottom tray and such. also if dual pulley and new water pump would help that much. also if there is any efan swap i can do that has blades that push.

When you say "getting hot" what are you talking about? do you have an actual temp gauge? whats the reading?

Does it get hot while you're driving or when you're stopped?

if you have removed the air pump, and you don't already have a duel pulley or a yoohoo sp* belt, chances are the waterpump is being under driven and thus contributing to your cooling problems.

DO NOT under any circumstances remove the under tray, it is essential to proper cooling.

yours should cool fine if all the stock stuff is working (rad/clutch fan/) and you have all your shrouds on if you only have a single belt its slipping at high rpm's.

i dont have the stock fan anymore but it didnt overheat when i had it on. its hot enough for me to run with the heater open all the way from road atl. ive still got stock but its past half so im guessing closer to 200 its not when im stoped so it makes me think something is blocking it??? anybody know where to get a cheap dual pulley mazdatrix is kinda pricey. thats what im gonna try first if that doesnt help then on to the next step i suppose. oh and i forgot yea the airpump is gone and ac is about to be too.

whats a yoohoo belt??

on the topics of engine temps. What should the engine operating temp be at? I noticed I had a small coolant leak, but nothing serious, but when I popped the hood, i was starting to cool the radiator down with some water and I noticed some dashed on the water pump and it immediately boiled off..... on my v6 4runner, nothing does that.

Does the rotary run at 400F' or what.

My temp gauge reads halfway, and usually a little less under normal conditions.
