overheating FC
overheating FC
Im in market to buy a FC non turbo, but there is a overheating issues. Can overheating issues be fixed after buying a new radiator or is it gonna cost me a fortune later on.
usually the overheating problem starts with the radiator maybe the rotors arent getting cooled by the oil or the water pump isent working try the radiator then the water pump then the oil cooler then if that dont work then you know its something bad....

if it even IS your radiator you can go to a junkyard and get one for cheap if not you can find one on ebay for cheap too..

Rotaries don't take overheating well. If it has been overheated extensively, the coolant seals are probably shot and it will need a rebuild. There is a quicke test you can do to see of the seals are still good or not.
Pull the EGI Comp fuse from the fuse block located on the drivers' side fenderwell.
Take off the radiator cap. Preferrably the one on the coolant filler neck if it has one there.
Have someone else crank the car over. It wont start because you disabled the fuel pump by pulling the fuse.
Look for a lot of bubbles coming up through the coolant in a constant stream. A little bubbles are okay... but a lot aren't.
Also, if the engine "pushes" coolant into the overflow bottle even if the car isn't overheating the seals are more than likely blown.
