overheating?

i read a lot threads but still can't figure it out. here's the problem first off the car is hard to start. it takes at least 30mins to an hour. while starting it shoots out white smoke. but after that no smoke at all. I think it was just flooded but now i think apex seals are bad. now that i got it started i let it run for like an hour and it overheated what should i do? it still runs and everything.

white smoke is bad coolant seals. your engine burns the coolant, instead of circulating them that's probably why you overheated. rebuild is the only solution, i'm so sorry.

ok i drove it today and the water level went high after 45 min of drivin and doggin the **** out of it. it didn't full overheat but it got 3/4 way up and i put the defrost on. I heard the radiator bubblin and engine bubbling after. when i turned it on again it shot a puff of white smoke. do i just need to bleed the air or what?

Meh.. Your coolant seals may be going, but it sounds more like a fan clutch issue to me. Get it nice and hot and open the engine bay, see how much air the fan is moving.
