Overheat ?'s
When a motor, say an 87 TII, overheats cause the factory reman water pump seizes up, what actually warps the irons, housings, or both?

I believe the irons warp, take out a strait edge and a caliper.
Are the irons blueish at all? If so, irons might have gottend to hot and hareden the iron.. so iron might be useless. I have heard about tentions bolts stretching over time.. but I think you should be fine.
Sure more people while shime in.

no the irons are just shiney steel, no blueing, but the e-shaft was alittle more blued than usual, no matter I got spares. How would I check for warpage on the irons?
