OVERHEAT Exh
when the main converter breaks down internally it will plug the y-pipe and cause the exhaust to "overheat". check to make sure your converter is not clogged. have a look at the exhaust at night after a drive. if its glowing red, you are either running WAY too rich or your main converter is bad. as a side note, do not park over anything flamable. i.e. dry leaves or grass, paper products etc..you may catch the ar on fire...
The sensor that detects the heat of the exhaust is under the passanger seat.
Its a small temperature sensor, and it could have been damamged by any interior work you have done.
I saw this light come on when i first got my FC, even upon a cold start. I drove it for a while to no avail. Ended up going to a junk yard, pulling one out of a front-ended FC.
Replaced the sensor and the light stopped erratically coming on.
