over heating cause of car not starting?
well last week i was driveing down the freeway when i noticed white smoke coming out of my hood, so i pulled over and turned of the car as soon as possible. it ended up being a hole in the radiator hose. i had the car towed home and replaced the hose and refilled with coolant. however i can not get the car to start back up. i took out the spark plugs and notice the top two seemed wet, dried them off and put them back in. The car started and seemed to run fine, the next day however i go to start it up and nothing, jsut doesnt want to crank over. i checked to dipstick and could not find any trace of water. i cant seem to figure out why my car wont start. any helpful hints or even theoroes would be greatful. thanks....
Start troubleshooting.
Can you turn the engine over by hand (use a socket on the PS pump pulley)?
Is the starter engaging?
Do you have sufficient voltage to turn it over? If you left the key in accessory position while it was being towed, or if the flashers were on for a long period, it may have drained the battery.
