over hauling/rebuild/ questions

so i have a 88 rx7 convertible thats i bought around a year ago..theres 88k original miles..i bought it from a guy and it had 75k miles on it..he told me that it has been over hauled. and alot of the suspension was replaced and the car is in great condition..no rust what so ever...no dents nothing..any way my question is if the engine has been over hauled should i be worried bout the engine needing rebuilt? or possibly a new engine any time soon..i dont no a whole lot about rx7 but i mean i havent had any problems with car what so ever..what r some signs that i should be looking out for? thanks for all the help

For one, the engine SHOULD be burning oil (roughly a quart per 1000 or 1500 miles I believe).

Any smoke at start up or while running? (if so, what color?)

Compression test. Do one.
