Outlaw 2 wheels

Hi guys, as most of you will probably remember, I received a set of 18x8 +35 wheels and I was wondering what size tires to put on them. Well, I did elect to just return them. My dad said he didn't mind.
So, I found a nice used set of American Racing Wheels Outlaw 2. They are 16x8, 114.3x5. I'm not sure what offset they are but I think were on a 98 wrangler. How do you guys think they would look om my S5T2? Anybody have the Outlaw 2s on their 7?

ashley

They are $450 for a set of 5.

Wonder if the offset will work. I can't find the oem offset for a wrangler.

Offset is not stamped on the back of the wheels?

I saw some 16x8's that someone had on their FC that looked DAMN good, and they were about 50~ish a piece. They were steel and painted white. I'll see if I can't find them here in a bit. I really do think you should pass on those. According to tirerack.com, they have a 0 offset. Expect to have the wheels poke out...

My starion's are 16x8 -10 rear. It does poke a lot.

Edit: pictures
Didnt really have a good shot to show how much they poke as I don't have them on my car anymore.

Well, they seem to actually be 15x8+6's. They still look cool though. At least I think so.

I had a set of those, they would not clear my calihers on the front and they were about 1 1/2-2" beyond the front fender. I ended up giving them away....
Best of luck I think they would look great, but I cant see you having better luck than I did.

I didn't realize that the wheels were 0 offset. I just figured you could order them in different offsets.

before buying them.

Did you have the 15x8? If so, I'll have to find a set with tires already mounted to try before buying them.

Your gonna need spacers to clear the calipers with those American racers. I needed almost 1" spacers for my set so elected to not put them on...

one inch spacer wouldn't bother me. As long as the wheels didn't stick out really far and make the 7 look like a skateboard.

You can get them in different sizes and offsets, but they're just going to poke out like sore thumbs. I agree that they'd look cool if you could get them in the right offset, but I just don't think it's going to work.

I would recommend if you get the 1" spacers to get the ones that bolt to your existing studs, and have new studs attached to the spacers. Don't get the spacers that come with extended studs my buddy has snapped all the studs at one time on the rear passenger side and the wheel fell right off. He was burnin out but still you get my point I don't think the extended studs are as strong... And make sure you get hubcentric spacers!!!

why do you think that? If they come in different offsets shouldn't they fit correctly?

And you better get ready to roll your fenders out... Cause they are going to stick out. Remember if you space the wheel out get a wheel that has a different offset

Won't getting a different offset take care of the sticking out problem? I read that the S5 has a stock offset of 30mm. If I buy the wheels with an offset of around 30mm, shouldn't they work????
I have learned a few things. Like six months ago I didn't even know wheels had different bolt patterns. I thought if the wheel had 5 holes it was good to go. ha ha

Yes that's what I said. If you get spacers get a different offset than a 0. +30 would be fine. Just go to this website and you'll see what you need to know

If you looked at the link, it will explain. If you go with the only 16" size available, it's going to have a 0 offset. The only other sizes for that wheel available are 14" and 15". So let's throw the 14" wheel out for now. I highly doubt that the calipers would fit under the 14's, unless you get some ridiculous negative offset. So the only ones left are 15".

The offsets available are:
-6mm (available in a 15x7)
-19mm (available in a 15x8)
-38mm (available in 15x10)

The +6mm offset is only available in a 14" rim.

Thanks for the link, which I did go to but I didn't see all of the info that you pointed out. I do understand why the particular wheel will not fit properly. I need a 15x8 with 30mm offset and the wheel isn't made with those specs. Oh well, I just thought they looked nice.

I found a wheel that looks pretty nice. Its an American Racing Wheel and its a 15x8 with zero offset. The wheel sticks out a little, maybe an inch or so. I think it looks pretty good but not great.
What do you guys think?
