original clutch, rebuilt engine...
I'm almost positive I'm running on the original clutch. The PO had the engine rebuilt and in the rebuild list it didnt list a clutch, and the car only had 77k at the time (82k now).
When I drop the clutch, it slips like crazy. So in order to get a good shift under full throttle I have to drop the clutch, no throttle and then once the clutch is fully engaged I can get on the throttle again. I've never tried to launch from a stop because i know it would be pointless and just slip like crazy
So, I've seen some clutch kits out there ranging from 200+, what would be a good replacement? This is my DD so the max I could have it down is 2 days(weekend). ACT looks like a good brand, and Exedy seems to be more upscale and for higher outputs.
Any input is welcome
Thanks!

is this is a stock NA or a stock T2, or a highly modified engine?
if its stock, stick with the stock clutch. ive read a couple of threads around here were people put 6puck racing clutches in their NA's and complain about how hard it is to get out of first.
if its highly modified, then i dont know maybe someone else can chime in on that.

Stick with a stock-style clutch if it's driven on the street - ie., a sprung pressure plate. Even if NA, something with more bite and higher pressure springs can be nice, the stock one is a bit weak, my own and other's experience seems to say, but anything exotic (like pucks) is going to be hard to drive on a daily basis.

It's a streetported N/A. I wasn't looking for a puck clutch, but thoughts on if mine is going bad, and what would be recommended by choice of other users who may have had more than one clutch in their car.
