ORC RACING clutcho!

Story: Baught a ORC 409 Clutch kit came with a CC Carbon fiber friction disc/clutch 5-6mm almost brand new. Nothing all that wonderful. Posting some pictures for some to see, but now im wondering...

Issue: A hot spot with no warpage beacuse it's carbon fiber not just the usual coatings and carbon based friction plates. If you see old plates their just black and purple 360, and show no warping, due to thickness and just the power we make can't do much.

I would assume... If I have it balanced and fitted properly, I shouldn't have any issues as the thickness of the pressureplate is insane and well made. Also... well under 380bhp.

Anyone think otherwise? like pressure plate cracking due to lack of hp?

The piece above the disc being blue (Assuming its part of the pressure plate setup) Look at the other side of it where it goes down against the disc. Make sure theres no pitting there. ..Doesn't bother me as much as the flywheel being hotspotted all over the place. I would have that flywheel resurfaced if you plan on using it. Thats my personal opinion if I had the money

Well of course, pitting no... I never had a clutch like this before that was acutally built nicely.

Will make sure it's resurfaced/ machined but will most likely need to be check for pitting. Aside from Mechanical input from rx7club, not much else to look online aside from one drag racing post on AUS rx7. Stating that he wore his out same as a twin plate...

Will see about removing engine tranny, and mating out side and re-installing to get best results with more work of course... being that the carpet and ecu are exposed.
