opinions on 90 gxl

found a nice '90 gxl for sale.....
KBB is showing approx $4000 though i know it's generally not indicative of the current market. I offered 3900, he's looking for 5500 and doesn't seem to be in a rush to sell. Assuming compression checks out fine, how high should i go? I'm kind of hesitant to go over $5000 as i've seen t2s go for about that or less...your thoughts?

Picked up my cirrent '90 GXL in North Carolina a year ago, 97K, superb interior, exterior and nearly spotless engine bay. Bunch of interior electrical crap needed junk yard replacement and belmishes similar to the one you are looking at but still in great shape.

Fellow I bought from did not know diddle about the RX7. Ended up paying 2,500 and worth every penny. Bottom line is the car is worth what the highest bidder is willing or stupid enuf to pay for it.

By the way, you may not need the entire antenna assembly. Mazdatrix has the "how to" on changing the mast only if it is the cabling that is shot/stripped/broken. If you hear the motor it is most likely only the mast. A hell of a lot cheaper that way.

Hey, I got my 90 gxl about a year ago for 3250. But it's cloth seats...is yours really leather, or do you mean just the leather stearing wheel and hand brake wraps? Auto or 5-speed?

Just picked up a black on black 91 with leather that does not even show hardly any wear at all. 106K on the car with the only major problem is low compression on the rear rotor. Paid $950
