Opening the door without using the handles

here is the problem, someone tried to break into my car using a slim jim or something along those lines, problem is all they were successful in doing was disconnecting all the lock/door opening lines so now my handles don't do squat. how am i suppose to get inside the door to fix this with no handles?

Thanks in advance for any help.

The problem is the little metal lines have been disconnected from the latch by a slim jim. I don't think there is anything I can "hook" at this point.

nightmare77- any suggestions for getting the panel off with the door closed?

I've broken into fc's with disconnected/broken linkages with a coat hanger. I just go down the window slit by the door handle past it, get hooked on the arm and push down.... I've had to do it so many times now it's comical how fast & easy it is. The hardest part is often getting the coat hanger back out of the door.

It helps to have a extra door around with no door panel on it to look at where everything is organized.

Yea....Lol that would be the most obvious choice. I mean atleast I would think of that one. Unless he doesnt have a key for that. Because in my car the key to the ignition is different than my hatch key.

They did all that inside the door. Just so you know, fcs take about three sec. to get in to. I locked my keys in my fc on the job sit. I used a wooden slat to pop the door in just a few sec. It's safe to say that the peeps that violated your car was an idiot. Im sorry that happend to you. My advice to you is if you cant pop the door open useing a flat object, (note) all you have to do is push in a downward motion about the middle of the door handle and the door should pop open) If not get a new passanger side window and brake in to her. I know it hurts but sometimes you just have to brake the glass. I hope you dont have to though.

the only screw that would be a problem is the one at the top at the front that's behind the dash. you can get to the rest of the scews with the door shut, you might need to take the seat out though.

That's a damn good idea. I gotta admit I've been procrastinating a little on getting this done... it's funny as hell to see my friends climbing in and out of the window.
