Open differential stub shaft fit inside Na lsd?

A few months back i snapped a stub shaft on my gxl, so i had to throw in an open diff to get my car rolling and i have grown tired of the open diff. I have another open diff and i wanted to know if the stub shafts are interchangable between an na open diff and na lsd rear ends. They look slightly different from the out side, and i dont want to tear down the open diff just to find out they dont.

Bottom line, open diff stub shaft in lsd rear end?

Thanks all,

~Kyle

VLSD ( s5 ) NA are different, unequal length stub shafts

apart from that the stub shafts are classeed either 26 ( NA ) or 30 spline ( turbo )

as a rule the stub shafts are shorter before the late s4 VIN change

ie
late s4 ( LSD or open ) and s5 ( open,, not VLSD ) should interchange

and also early s4 LSD and s4 open should interchange
