GOOD LORD that's bad! And I thought my 210+ or so was bad. How many miles? I'd say change plugs, O2 sensor and air filter for a start.

I have the same problem... 120 per tank (87 n/a)... but isn't our tank something like 16 gallons? when I'm just past 3/4 empty, i fill it up... but it adds 8 gallons, and is full. but then when it's full, my gauge is all the way at the top. Any idea what's wrong?

here is the list.
1. Tires ( get the exact pressure all around i recomend 32)
2. Air filter
3. Fuel Filter
5. NGK Spark Plugs
6. NGK Spark PLug Wires
7. 02 Sensor
8. HEll do a oil change just for fun ( oil Filter)

That should bring you to a whooping 260 miles per 14 gallons thats what i get plus i even have a street ported 13b N/A. ( fuel filter should be the first thing you try along with the tire pressure)

I had the same problem... But I knew I was running insanely rich because my plugs were black after just sticking them in (100 miles or less then BLACK)

I was getting closer to 160 a tank on a TII.

Just as a curiosity, do you have a cheap air filter?(purolator perhaps?)

yeah i meant 32 at the most! sorry about that still 28 dont u think is a lil too low anyways... the 260 miles per 14 gallons is equivalent to shifiting below 4k rpms and 150 of those miles are highway usually

Start with a full tuneup. Plugs, wires, all fluids and filters, TPS, idle adjustment, etcl. If you continue to run excessively rich, you need to start troubleshooting the problem.

i was getting around 14mpg, then i had Don (marvelspeed.com) look at it. he used a 2LED tester (it was new to me) and fiddled with my car and now i get ~19.5mpg. what are these testers called and what did he change? this was when i first got the car, so i dont remember what parts he was adjusting and testing since i was still relatively new to the car. either way, thats a big jump in mpg.

I would call what you listed part of the troubleshooting process.

I consider it something that should be done regardless.
